Caitlin De Klijn is the PR Specialist for MECCA, Australia’s leading beauty and wellness destination. She is tasked with uncovering the latest and greatest in skincare and gets to test out all of the latest launches before they hit MECCA shelves – essentially our dream job. Given her roles and responsibilities, it is no surprise that she has accumulated the crème de la crème when it comes to travel products. Read on to see what Caitlin keeps in her overnight bag when traveling about Australia.

Caitlin’s Overnight Bag Essentials

Briogeo Wide Tooth Detangling Comb $23 AUD

If you’ve ever visited Australia (especially Melbourne) you’d know that we often get four seasons in one day, which usually involves some lovely wind that tangles my hair like nothing else, hence why I like to keep a detangling comb handy so I can give my locks a quick refresh before any meetings, events, or dinners!

Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel $28 AUD

A while ago, I was having some troubles with hormonal breakouts on my cheeks and jaw which was not ideal when you want clear, radiant skin! So I decided to give the Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel a try as I had heard amazing things, and aren’t I glad I did! After using the peels for a week, my skin was feeling so bright and balanced! Ever since then, I like to keep a pack handy for whenever I need a quick skin pep-up.

D.S. & Durga Grapefruit Generation $291 AUD

No matter where I am going and what I am packing for, I always make sure I have some fragrance handy! I recently tried this D.S. & Durga Grapefruit Generation fragrance which is the perfect all-rounder as I find the balance of citrus notes and musky elements make it suitable for both day and night activities.

Kindle Reader $179 AUD

One of my new year’s resolutions was to read more, and if you’re anything like me I like to have a whole library at my disposal so I can find a book I am in the mood for. I was recently gifted a Kindle which was the perfect addition to my overnight bag as it's so compact, and I have 100’s of books right at my fingertips (bye-bye heavy bag of books).

Dr. Dennis Gross Vitamin C + Lactic Oil Free Radiant Moisturiser $120 AUD

Another addition to my overnight bag includes the new Vitamin C Lactic Oil-Free Radiant Moisturizer, I love that this doubles as a serum and a moisturizer, meaning I don’t have to take multiple products with me when traveling! I also love that it improves signs of sun aging, as Australian UV is so harsh, anything that can combat sun damage is a big tick!
