Dr. Dennis Gross has created a bi-layer delivery system to ensure that these powerful ingredients penetrate for maximum results. It works in 2 ways: Firstly, liposomal delivery is a bi-layer encapsulation system that combines water and lipid ingredients together in tiny tubular vessels. Known as liposomes, these vessels transport the completely enclosed ingredients allowing them to get through the lipid barrier of skin. Secondly, cold esterification captures niacinamide, superfoods and adaptogens in their “ raw” state to optimize absorption into the skin cells while preserving their potency and freshness. The microcapsule penetrates through the lipid barrier. The outer wall is dissolved by the skin barrier, leaving behind the esterified ingredients (inner layer) that are then able to be absorbed by the skin cells, which is essentially a down & in effect. This ensures penetration of ingredients to the deepest layers of skin, delivery of actives to the target site and optimized results on skin.
