Easy On The Eyes: Introducing DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask

The skin around the eyes is inherently thin and delicate. And it’s constantly in motion (the average person blinks upwards of 16,000 times a day). It’s no wonder the eyes can sometimes betray more about our age than we might like. To help put some pep in your peepers, we’re excited to introduce our new Dr. Dennis Gross DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask, which builds on the innovations we recently debuted in our blockbuster Dr. Dennis Gross DermInfusions Fill + Repair Serum. After all, you can never have too much of a good thing.

What makes DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask unique?

The word “infusion” in the product name is your first indication that this isn’t your ordinary, run-of-the-mill eye-area sheet mask. We know that in order for a topical skincare product to be effective, its ingredients need to be absorbed by the skin, where they can go to work. A cell’s absorption capacity isn’t infinite, of course. But most topical skincare products don’t come close to fully saturating cells. They also don’t really travel that far into skin. They just sit on the skin’s surface which means they never sink deep enough to impact all those additional cells.

As with its sister product, DermInfusions Fill + Repair Serum, part of the magic of our DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask is in its delivery system. The mask itself is woven from Lyocell fibers. Derived from purified wood pulp, Lyocell fibers help regulate the release and absorption of liquid ingredients. This means ingredients in the mask are equally distributed throughout the eye area (instead of ending up concentrated above or below the eyes, for example). Lyocell fibers also form an occlusive barrier on skin. This prevents the moisture (and ingredients) in the mask from evaporating into the air. They have nowhere to go but down into the skin, infusing it with the active ingredients in the mask.

What are the key ingredients?

And what about those ingredients that are being infused into skin? Our Dr. Dennis Gross DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask is saturated with three of skincare’s heaviest hitters:

    • Niacinamide (aka vitamin B3): It’s an antioxidant, but it does so much more than neutralize free radicals. Niacinamide also helps increase collagen levels, which is great news if you’re trying to tackle crow’s feet. And it helps reduce hyperpigmentation (take that, undereye discoloration!). Another benefit of niacinamide that doesn’t get as much airtime is its ability to improve skin barrier function and minimize transepidermal water loss (TEWL). A healthy skin barrier keeps moisture inside the skin. As a result, skin appears dewier and plumper with fewer fine lines.

    • L-Ascorbic acid: The niacinamide in our DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask gets an assist from a hefty dose of vitamin C, a universal favorite. The form of vitamin C used here is L-ascorbic acid, which can be easily absorbed by skin. Like niacinamide, vitamin C also makes quick work of free radicals. And it’s another active that helps get collagen production firing on all cylinders. And vitamin C can help minimize hyperpigmentation.

  • Green Tea: The third superstar in the DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask formula is green tea — a soothing standby that tired eyes will greatly appreciate. Rich in antioxidant polyphenols, green tea also has anti-inflammatory properties, which help calm stressed skin and also bring down redness.

What are the benefits of DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask?

After you remove your DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask, your entire eye area should appear more refreshed, plump, and lifted. Because the ingredients work both immediately and over time, consistently applying a DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask will help create long-term results, like an increase in skin-firming collagen and a decrease in undereye discoloration.

Who is DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask good for?

If you’ve had a late night or early morning, are under a lot of stress, spend a lot of time staring at a computer, rub or tug at your eyes often (hi, contact lens wearers!), or just wished the skin around your eyes looked brighter and more vibrant, you’re going to feel our Dr. Dennis Gross DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask is the answer to your prayers.

How can you enhance the benefits of DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask?

One of our favorite sayings at Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare is LEDs make everything better. Light-emitting diodes (LEDs) — especially the red ones — have been proven to reduce inflammation and stimulate new collagen growth. And that’s just when you use them by themselves. When combined with your DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask, LEDs will also up the absorption of the ingredients in the mask. To double your pleasure, apply your DermInfusions Lift + Repair Eye Mask to clean skin, then top with our Dr. Dennis Gross DRx SpectraLite EyeCare Max Pro. After the three-minute cycle on the EyeCare Max Pro has finished, leave your Lift + Repair Eye Mask on for two to seven additional minutes. Perfection!
