It’s an age-old question: How do you take a good thing and make it even better? The “good thing” in this case is our wildly popular, reformulated Advanced Retinol + Ferulic line. Products like our Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Triple Correction Eye Serum, Texture Renewal Serum, and Overnight Texture Renewal Peel have quickly become cult favorites. But, especially as we head into winter and dry skin starts to become an issue, we felt there was something missing—a super hydrating, intensely nourishing facial moisturizer.
New Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Intense Wrinkle Cream takes all of what’s made Advanced Retinol + Ferulic such a hit (namely, our exclusive, skin-transforming Phyto-Retinol Blend) and combines it with a rich base of hyaluronic acid, ceramides, glycerin, and other moisturizing ingredients to provide 24 hours of hydration. (And we have the clinicals to back it up.)
Retinol is the gold-standard ingredient in efficacious skincare, and everyone can benefit from adding it to their regimen,” says our founder, dermatologist Dennis Gross, MD. “With the new Intense Wrinkle Cream, I wanted to create a product that delivered all the proven results we know come from using retinol—like a brighter, firmer complexion—while also rehabbing skin suffering from dryness or dehydration.”
Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Intense Wrinkle Cream is for you if:
- You have dry skin.
- You have mature skin (which is inherently dry).
- You seek out a thicker moisturizer when the mercury drops.
Why it works
Ingredients make all the difference when it comes to a product delivering on its promises. In the words of our founder: “The key to avoiding irritation with retinol is a reinforced moisture barrier,” Dr. Gross says. “Formulating retinol with bakuchiol is key—you get all of the benefits of retinol, while bakuchiol strengthens the moisture barrier. Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Intense Wrinkle Cream also has other supporting ingredients like ferulic acid and rambutan, which have soothing properties.”
Here’s the ingredient breakdown:
Retinol: A vitamin A derivative, retinol is a no-brainer for anyone who wants to stimulate collagen production, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, or minimize discoloration. There is literally almost nothing it can’t do (except protect you from the sun—that takes SPF).
Ferulic acid: This plant-derived antioxidant goes with retinol like peanut butter does with jelly. Ferulic acid counteracts the potentially irritating side effects of retinol, while simultaneously neutralizing free radicals.
Bakuchiol: Another botanical, Bakuchiol comes from the “Babchi” plant. Like retinol, it ramps up the manufacturing of collagen. Plus, it’s anti-inflammatory, an antioxidant, and won’t trigger redness or dryness.
Rambutan: Made from the leaves of the rambutan tree, rambutan extract is becoming increasingly popular in skincare formulations due to its antioxidant properties, its moisturization abilities, and the fact that it also helps increase collagen levels in the skin.
The proof is in the pictures!
In our consumer studies, participants saw skin improvements after just two weeks of daily application of Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Intense Wrinkle Cream.
