  • Yes, we’ve formulated all of our Advanced Retinol + Ferulic products to pair perfectly with our Alpha Beta Daily Peels.

  • Yes, retinol and vitamin C can be safely used together. When used in the same routine, vitamin C and retinol provide enhanced results. Some people may find the combination too active when used simultaneously, so we recommend using your more potent treatments and serums at opposite times of the day if irritation occurs.

  • We recommend using the Perfectly Dosed Retinol Treatments in the PM to reap the full effects of these formulas. 

  • Ferulic acid is an antioxidant found in all plant leaves that provides protection against sun exposure. In the Advanced Retinol + Ferulic line, ferulic acid neutralizes free radicals released during retinol’s conversion process to its active form which renders retinol significantly gentler and more tolerable on skin.

  • Retinol renews skin cells while alpha and beta- hydroxy acids exfoliate at the surface. Alpha and beta- hydroxy acids remove skin cells at the surface while retinol activates the basement layer of skin to produce new cells more quickly and migrate upwards to replace aging, damaged and hyperpigmented skin.

  • If experiencing abnormal sensitivity or damaged skin barrier due to things like over exposure to UVA/UVB rays, we recommend being gentler with your skin and focusing on only cleansing and moisturizing until your skin gets back to its normal, healthy balance.

  • We recommend pulsing the Perfectly Dosed Retinol Treatment strength of your choice into your routine 2-3x nights a week while skin gets acclimated, increasing frequency according to your skin’s tolerance while using Daily Peels in the morning. As always, it’s important to listen to your skin’s unique needs, so feel free to adjust your Alpha Beta Daily Peel and Perfectly Dosed Retinol Treatment’s strength as needed – stepping down in peel strength while skin acclimates and adjusts to the more potent retinol treatment, then ramping back up as tolerance is built.

  • We knew that if we were going to introduce stronger treatments to our Advanced Retinol + Ferulic range of products, we had to be sure we did it transparently and empowered our customers with the knowledge of the exact strength they’d be incorporating into their existing retinol routine so as to make the best decisions for their unique skin needs. All of our Advanced Retinol + Ferulic products are texted to be used together, but our newest and strongest treatments are clearly marked with their pure liquid retinol concentrations for those working on targeting more stubborn anti-aging and texture concerns.
