Frequently asked questions

Thank you for your interest in our Alpha Beta® Daily Peels! If you are new to our daily peels, actives, acids, or all the above, we recommend starting with our Ultra Gentle Daily Peel, or Universal Daily Peel. If your skin is accustomed to acids and actives, you can start with Extra Strength. Our Ultra Gentle Peel is perfect for any beginner or those who have dry and sensitive skin looking for extra hydration and redness reduction. Our Universal Daily Peel is perfect for those with normal and combination skin looking to combat signs of aging and uneven texture. Our Extra Strength Daily Peel is for an experienced peeler or those with oily and combination skin looking to combat advanced signs of aging or frequent breakouts. We encourage new users to start week 1 using every 3 days, week 2 every other day and, if your skin is responding well, week 3 to begin daily use. The best part is you don’t have to limit yourself to just one peel strength. Our skin changes all the time, either due to different environments, age, or hormones. Take our peel quiz to see which daily peel is right for you! https://drdennisgross.com/pages/peel-quiz

This is a great question! The Alpha Beta® Daily Peels should be used daily. Every 24 hours, a new layer of dead skin makes its way to the surface. For first time daily peel users we recommend starting week 1 using every 3 days, week 2 every other day and, if your skin is responding well, week 3 to begin daily use.

Great question! Yes, the Alpha Beta® Daily Peels were created by our brand founder and practicing dermatologist Dr. Dennis Gross, to be used daily! Every 24 hours, a new layer of dead skin makes its way to the surface and our daily peels are formulated to remove the outermost layer of dead skin cells by gently exfoliating with AHA/BHAs in step 1 and neutralize acid activity and provide anti-aging treatment with step 2, every day! For first time daily peel users we recommend starting week 1 using every 3 days, week 2 every other day and, if your skin is responding well, week 3 to begin daily use. Remember that they are gentle enough for daily use in terms of exfoliation, and that consistency is key. We also recommend taking our peel quiz to see which daily peel is right for you! https://drdennisgross.com/pages/peel-quiz

Thank you for your interest in our Daily Peels and for your great question! Depending on the level of pore congestion and active breakouts you have at the start of using our Daily Peels, you may see some temporary purging. It’s important to be consistent and stick to using the Daily Peels in your routine to see long-term results!

Thank you for your great question and for your interest in our Daily Peels! There is no “better” time of day to use our Daily Peels, only that it is used every day. Whatever your personal skincare routine, the Daily Peels are effective. When choosing to use the Daily Peels in the AM, always remember to use SPF as the last step in your routine.
-
Thank you for your interest in not only our Alpha Beta® Daily Peels, but our Advanced Retinol + Ferulic Overnight Texture Renewal Peels! When incorporating our Overnight Texture Renewal Peels into your skincare routine, it is important to use only in the PM, and for optimal results should be used 2-3 times per week. On the days that you are using the Overnight Texture Renewal Peel, use your Alpha Beta® Daily Peel in the AM. As you start to use the Overnight Texture Renewal Peels, you can use different strengths of our Daily Peels based on your skin needs. For example, if you are an Extra Strength Daily Peel user, we recommend stepping down to Universal or Ultra Gentle until your skin is acclimated to your new routine. Always remember to use SPF in the AM, especially when using both peels.

Thank you for your question! Active ingredients like Vitamin C and Retinol are safe to use when using Alpha Beta® Daily Peels and recommended. Be sure to use care when introducing new products to your regimen and reduce frequency of application if needed until skin acclimates. Please consult your doctor for instructions when using peels with prescription-strength topical medications.
